I have been working on losing weight for about 2 1/2 months and many people have asked me what I am doing to be successful. I reply, “The 3 W’s to lose weight!” Of course they don’t know what the 3 W’s of body weight are so I quickly tell them, “Walking, Water, and Weight Watchers.” I know this is not a method that will work for everyone but it works for me! Water is an essential fluid that everyone needs, walking is a great way to exercise, and Weight Watchers is a world-renowned weight loss organization that has helped millions of people lose weight and keep it off.

Walking:

Walking is a great calorie-burning activity that most of us have been doing throughout our lives. Apart from good walking shoes and good clothes, it doesn’t need any other equipment, so it’s worth it! But the most interesting thing about traveling is the health benefits it provides. Walking is easy on joints and relieves back pain in some people. It has the ability to lower blood pressure, reduce cholesterol, reduce the risk of diabetes and heart disease, build muscle and strengthen bones, and of course it leads to weight loss! Try to walk at least 10,000 steps every day!

I have lost 24 1/2 pounds so far but aside from the weight loss, walking every day allows me to relax mentally and I feel it reduces my anxiety. The funny thing is that the more I travel, the more my body and mind begin to crave it. Walking has been a great habit for me

Water:

Recent studies have shown that after drinking 17 oz. in the water, men and women saw a 30% increase in their metabolic rate that lasted about 40 minutes.

A few months ago, I stopped drinking soda and replaced it with water. I can already feel the difference in my skin and it is definitely helping with my weight loss because it fills me up and I don’t eat too much. Drinking water every day is a habit now and I feel great about it! Drink 8, 8 oz. glasses of water every day to boost your weight loss efforts!

Weight Watchers:

Weight Watchers was founded in the early 1960s by Jean Nidetch. She started by having small groups in her home to discuss weight loss. These small meetings have grown over the years and now Weight Watchers has grown into a global organization made up of millions of people who are dedicated to losing weight.

Weight Watchers meetings are designed to provide weight loss motivation, information about diet and exercise, and a positive environment where members and leaders provide support and encouragement to one another. My Weight Watchers leader is amazing and I look forward to going to my meetings every week. Not only is she a great model, having also lost 45 pounds, but she has a natural ability to bring out the best in all of us who faithfully attend her meetings. She creates her own science-based research, weight loss stories, motivational quotes, exercise tips, and recipes; all of which he happily wraps up to give us the tools we need for the coming week.
