Word 2007 Tutorial – 29 Simple Word 2007 Keyboard Shortcuts
The following are the 29 most commonly used Word 2007 keyboard shortcuts that you can use. These hotkeys can practically replace the mouse. A keyboard shortcut is a combination of two or more keys, for example Alt + H : Press and hold the Alt key followed by the H key.
Ribbon navigations
1. Alt + H: Go to the Home tab
2. Alt + N: Go to Add tab
3. Alt + P: Go to the Page Layout tab
4. Alt + S: Go to References tab
5. Alt + M: Go to Posts tab
6. Alt + R: Go to Review tab
7. Alt + W: Go to the View tab
Note. Once you’ve pressed Alt + to get to the tab you want, the items on the tab have another key you can press to use them. Press Alt on any tab to view or use shortcuts. 🙂
Copy and delete text
8. Ctrl + C: Copy the selected text or graphic to the Office clipboard.
9. Ctrl + X: Cut the selected text or graphic to the Office clipboard.
10. Ctrl + V: Paste the latest addition (text or graphic) from the Office clipboard.
11. Backspace: Delete one character to the left.
12. Ctrl + Backspace: Delete the word character from the left.
13. Delete: Delete one character from the right.
14. Ctrl + Delete: Delete one word from the right.
Open and save the document
