How to Sign Up Endless YTB RTA’s Into Your Network Marketing Downline Using Email Marketing
YTB or Your Travel Biz is a great company based on the travel industry. I get asked all the time how to create an online marketing funnel that delivers YTB RTA to your backend downline. This article explains how I use email marketing as a key component in recruiting new YTB RTAs.
Are you currently building your YTB business by going to endless meetings, pitching friends and family, calling biz opp. wires, knocking on doors and handing out magazines or DVDs? My friends, how are you? Are you making enough commissions each month to cover your marketing costs and taxes and make a livable profit?
If you don’t, consider yourself lucky because hopefully you haven’t invested months of failure and frustration like I did into marketing traditional strategies that weren’t effective. I lost thousands of dollars and time.
Unlike what some gurus teach, my upline didn’t lie to me or my team. I took full responsibility for my situation. I put my failure down to two big problems.
#1 Target Marketing
After taking stock of myself, I came to the conclusion that it wasn’t because I wasn’t working or being active. I worked my ass off doing what I was taught. The problem was that I was targeting the wrong type of people and didn’t know how to find the right type of people looking for a network marketing business.
The other big problem I had was TIME. What do I mean by that? My situation when starting my own business was like many others. I was working a full-time job, supporting my family, and trying to build a network marketing business on the side. For those who market in a traditional way, this is very time consuming. I just couldn’t commit enough time each week to find people I could call prospects (suspects) to expose and engage with my opportunity. Everything was so aimless and random that I was lucky to get 10 new leads a week.
I knew something had to change. I realized that the only way to build and survive this business was to use technology. At the time, I knew nothing about attraction marketing strategies or online marketing. I just knew I had to have a better way to find potential clients.
This is when my journey to learn how to market effectively online.
I said all this to give you an idea of the challenges I faced so maybe you can relate in some way.
Email marketing is a strategy that is very powerful if you know what you are doing. There are laws about spamming books, so you should be careful that you do it right.
I very rarely promote the YTB business opportunity at the front end of my marketing campaigns and I NEVER push YTB to my potential clients.
I focus on building a list of like-minded people who are either looking for a business or looking to take their business to the next level.
Having an autoresponder is an absolute must (if you want to spit out new YTB RTAs from the back end of your marketing funnel). Two good ones I recommend are Aweber or Getresponse. I have used both and they are very good.
Next, you might want to think about your marketing funnel like this.
1. Squeeze the page (Lead Capture Page) – this is the first thing you want your potential customers to see. All your marketing should direct them to this page. The main purpose of a squeeze page is to generate curiosity and capture the name, email address and phone number of your potential customers. Give something for free. Promise your prospects a special report or e-book.
2. Autoresponder – You’ll want to craft some follow-up messages that inform your potential customers about who you are and provide them with good content. Focus 80% on content and 20% on promoting your company or other affiliate products. The wonderful thing about an autoresponder is that you can set up your own campaign and market to your list forever. You can set up multiple campaigns that market your YTB business, affiliate products, courses or systems.
I gave you an example of a simple marketing funnel. The idea is to sell yourself first to your potential clients and brand yourself as an expert. After building trust, some of your potential customers will become interested in YTB and join you. Not just because they love YTB, but because they want to be on your winning team!
Now that you master the art of creating and setting up marketing funnels, you can create multiple streams of income marketing online systems, courses, and other affiliates.
It’s the only way I recruit. My AEG is now leveraged because of my marketing channels and I can recruit and sell at will. Imagine building a highly targeted list of thousands and then eventually marketing to them. Money is really on the list!
