How To Get Rid Of Clogged Pores In 6 Simple Steps

We all know that clogged pores are inevitable. But if we make a few changes to our skin care routine, clogged pores can be significantly reduced. Clogged pores are the beginning of many skin problems, especially enlarged pores. When your pores are clogged with oil residue, dead skin cells, and dirt, your pores become stretched and therefore have many visible large pores on your face. On the other hand, if all the pores of your skin are clean and empty, the appearance of pores will not be visible and your skin will look much more refined! So it is very important to follow the following steps every day to maintain a beautiful complexion before you need to know how to tighten pores.

Step 1 – Remove makeup/sunscreen

Practice this step even if you only have sunscreen on your face. Skin care products with SPF, such as BB creams, tinted moisturizers, and sunscreens, are usually water and sweat resistant. So it can be difficult to wash off thoroughly with a regular face wash.

Try using gentle oil-based makeup removers. Cleansing oils aren’t just great for removing waterproof makeup; they are also very effective at removing oil residue and impurities from your pores. Try not to use a cotton pad for oil cleansers. Instead, use your fingers to gently massage an oily makeup remover into your face and then rinse with lukewarm water.

Step 2 – Wash your face

Pores appear enlarged and more noticeable when they are clogged with dirt and oil. Debris and dirt stretch out the pores, making them large. So washing your face is the most important step in your daily regimen. Use a gentle cleanser if you have sensitive skin, a foaming cleanser for oily skin, and an oil/non-foaming cleanser for dry skin. For acne-prone skin, you might want to use a cleanser that has antibacterial ingredients in it.

Step 3 – Steam your face to open up your pores

Use a facial steamer if you have one at home. If not then follow the steps below:-

Fill the pot with water and boil it on the stove. When steam begins to appear, remove the pot from the heat.

You can add a few drops of essential oil to the hot water for relaxation or tea tree oil for acne.

Place a towel over your head and lean over the steaming water. Place a towel over your shoulders and the pot so that the steam is directed at your face. Let it steam for about 5-10 minutes.

Step 4 – Peel off the skin

While the pores are now open, it’s a good time to penetrate the pores and get rid of stubborn dirt, dead skin cells and sebum that facial cleansing alone couldn’t get rid of. There is a daily and weekly exfoliation method that I recommend.

Method 1 – Brushing the face

Brushing your face effectively opens the pores of your skin. This can be done on a daily basis. This method is very effective in removing dead skin cells, stimulating blood circulation, enhancing lymphatic drainage, and most importantly, getting rid of toxins. You can use it with a facial cleanser or simply brush on dry skin. Remember to choose a facial brush with soft but firm bristles.

Note: To begin with, it is recommended to try brushing your face 3 times a week. Only after your skin gets used to this method, you can do it once a day.

Method 2 – Use facial scrubs

Facial scrubs contain micro-particles/beads in gel and cream form to help remove dead skin cells and remove dirt from pores. This helps to improve the penetration of the entire skin care product applied to the skin. Facial scrubs are readily available at all beauty and drugstores. However, I prefer homemade because they are made with 100% natural ingredients and I know what I am putting on my skin. The best reason, of course, is that homemade products cost a fraction of the retail price and the ingredients are readily available in our kitchen! My favorite recipe would be:

Baking soda face scrub

Ingredients – 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of water

Directions – Add water to baking soda and mix well until a smooth paste forms. Apply the paste on the face and gently massage the face. Avoid the eye area. Rinse off with water.

The result – instantly smooth and shiny skin!

Step 5 – Make a deep cleansing face mask

There are many different types of face masks to suit different needs. However, in order to clean the pores effectively, we need to do a deep cleansing mask often. These types of masks are readily available at health and beauty stores, but you can also make your own. I highly recommend clay masks and exfoliating masks as they remove impurities that clog pores.

Try my homemade deep cleansing black mask, which uses clay and activated charcoal as the main ingredients. The recipe is very effective in keeping the skin clean, because the activated charcoal used helps draw out dirt and toxins from the skin. Green clay is another good ingredient that not only absorbs toxins, but also helps draw out blackheads and cleanse pores.

Homemade deep cleansing black mask

Ingredients:-

2 capsules of activated carbon (remove the capsule and pour out the black powder)

½ teaspoon of green clay

1 teaspoon of water

Instructions: –

1) Mix all ingredients together into a smooth paste.

2) Apply to face. Avoid the eye area.

3) Allow to dry and then rinse with cold water.

Note. Be sure to stir the mixture with a plastic or wooden spoon, as both charcoal and clay draw toxins out of metals.

Step 6 – Spray with cold water

Finish the regimen by splashing your face with cold water. You can also use ice cubes to shrink large pores. This is a quick remedy that can be used before applying makeup. It instantly reduces the size of open pores and helps to leave skin smooth and also prevents make-up from entering large pores, reducing the risk of clogged pores, acne and infections. Take ice cubes, wrap them in a cloth and apply gentle pressure to your face. It has a firming effect on your skin.
